Good to Know
Built-in work includes hutches, bookcases, media walls, window seats, and mudroom storage. The pieces are made to fit the room. Planning starts with a look at the space and a talk about style. Drawings and site measurements set out the details before the pieces are built.
ABBA’s millwork includes kitchen and bath cabinets as well as custom pieces and display shelves. Wood and finishes are chosen during design. The room, finish, and budget help guide those choices. Materials, finishes, the fitting work, and price go in writing before the work starts.
Stair work includes hardwood treads and risers, rails, posts, and painted or stained balusters. A carpeted stair can be changed to hardwood. Trim work includes crown, casing, baseboard, and window trim. The style, wood, finish, and profiles are chosen before the build.
The wood, paint or stain finish, and level of detail affect the scope. Custom pieces differ from stock trim profiles. Curves, joints, and uneven floors or walls can add work.
